CEMETERY SKETCHING: SHUFFLE FESTIVAL

  • Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park (map)

Art Macabre return to Shuffle Festival. Cemetery comes from the Ancient Greek word meaning 'sleeping place'.

Join Art Macabre as we take death drawing to a Victorian cemetery. Sketch outdoors in the beautiful historic surroundings of graves, trees, ivy and angel architecture. Draw upon the rich history of the living and the dead that exists at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.
A celebration of death and dying, life and living through drawing. Drawing inspiration from expiration, sketch in this peaceful and powerful setting. Costumed multiple models pose as mythical figures of death and the passage between life and beyond.

Part of Shuffle Festival - an annual celebration of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, founded by Danny Boyle and team.

Participation in our workshop with a Sunday or weekend ticket to Shuffle Festival. Tickets and prices here (discounts for Mile End locals).
